I bought records there in the ’70s. I hung out there in the ’80s (again, buying records) while waiting for a show to start a block over at The Catalyst. Then, in the 90s, I sadly passed the place by after it became a cigar store.

Earlier this year, sax player Wes Anthony retooled the old Cymballine Records building at 435 Front Street into the E3 Playhouse. Being a musician, the first thing he did was to install a great stage and sound system. He then came up with “E3”, which is shorthand for Entertainment, Education, and Eatery. Basically, there’s something worthwhile there going on all the time.

This Saturday (11/25), we’re playing the early slot from 6:00-8:00 pm. If you’re in town, take a break from shopping at the mall. This will be a lot more fun. The E3 Playhouse is a great little venue in a building with a lot of music history.
