I first heard about these things called podcasts a year or so back when I was looking for places to find new music (and researching spots for possible airplay when I finished my own CD). I subscribed and became a regular listener to The Miller Tells Her Tale, a podcast run by Scottish DJ Karen Miller. Each week, Karen puts together an hour or so of great new music featuring under-the-radar Americana artists – such as Slaid Cleaves, Eliza Gilkyson, and Darrell Scott – that you’re not likely to hear on commercial radio.

My song High and Lonesome made “The Miller Tells Her Tale” show #188 this week. You can subcribe to the show through Itunes. If you’d like to just listen to the latest shows, they always streaming on both Karen’s main web site and on her MySpace page.

Note: Most podcasts are a labor of love for the folks who put them together. Click here for some nifty The Miller Tales Her Tale merchandise now available at CafePress.
