A few years ago – pre-global pandemic – my wife and I went to a fundraising dinner for The Teen Kitchen Project. We quickly became big fans. Last year, when the annual dinner resumed, I played solo for them at an outdoor farm in Davenport.

This year, I was invited back and came with Greg Abelar, my bass player. We had a blast. The Teen Kitchen Project is a a pretty unique nonprofit that serves TWO communities: Kids get culinary skills from volunteer chefs, and then the food they cook is delivered to people who are homebound.

We’re always happy to play for them and be a tiny part of their fundraising activities.
