It’s been a good year for fostering dogs. I’ve almost lost count how many we’ve actually helped find homes through Animal Friends Rescue Project. (Six maybe, counting “Belle”, the golden retriever who found a home at my pal Diane’s place after she asked “Hey, we want a golden retriever…do you know where we can find one?”)

Nala was the latest. She’s had some story. After working in a puppy mill (we suspect) in Taiwan, she was rescued from a crowded shelter and found her way to us via AFRP. She looked like a sheepdog until we had her clipped and saw that she was indeed a miniature Schnauzer. Though she looked more like a goat (a cute one, at that.)

She’s now on an acre of land up in the hills above Los Gatos overlooking the ocean and mountains. It’s a gorgeous locale. Kinda wish they would have adopted *us*. Her new best friends are Ollie, another Schnauzer. Ollie’s never had a companion dog, let alone a female. (Needless to say, Ollie’s VERY happy.)

Nala also gets to pal around with (ironically enough) two goats. A far cry from a foreign puppy mill. She’s certainly earned this one.

  1. Hi Miguelito,

That dog is living a truly blessed life. Two goats!!! Glad we got to meet her.
