Although I might never achieve the gratification of having my songs misinterpreted so badly that they’re documented at KissThisGuy.com, I have had the pleasure on numerous occasions of correcting people as to what I’m actually saying (maybe it’s that Dylan growl in my voice that I just can’t get away from).
Take my song “Spotted Mule”. “Dad was a donkey / mama was a roan”. “Roan”, like a brown horse, not a “road”. “Mama was a road” is an interesting take, though. Maybe in another song.
So, after countless requests (well, seven), I finally took the time to post the lyrics to my songs on my Music page.
I’ve also added link to sounds clips, and I dug back through blog entries to find the stories I wrote about many of these songs.
I’ve been meaning to update that page for months. One more thing to check off my list. At some point, I’ll even find the time to write songs again. 😉
