Think of this as a continuation of episode #177, which took place at a recent writing retreat in Northern Idaho. This time, on that same trip, we chat with Boise-based songwriter\/engineer\/producer (he has a lot of hats) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stevefultonmusic.com\/bio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steve Fulton.<\/a> As both a solo artist and under the guise of his band SFM (Steve Fulton Music), he&#8217;s toured heavily for the past two decades. In addition, he runs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audiolab.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Audio Lab<\/a>, one of the state&#8217;s finest recording studios, along with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visualartscollective.com\/\">The Visual Arts Collective<\/a>, its accompanying venues.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelgaither.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/stevefulton2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-7284\" src=\"http:\/\/www.michaelgaither.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/stevefulton2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.michaelgaither.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/stevefulton2.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.michaelgaither.com\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/stevefulton2-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Besides being just an amazing artist on his own, he especially caught my ear when he mentioned he&#8217;s engineered the last two records for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelgaither.com\/home\/songs_and_stories_76_eilen_jewell_real_c\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elien Jewell<\/a> (as well as touring with her and her family).
