Heck if I can think of what it might be, though.<\/p>\n<p>Last Saturday we did our second appearance at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/canyonacoustic\" target=\"_blank\">Canyon Acoustic Society<\/a> house concert in Royal Oaks, CA. This little series is pretty special to me, not only because it&#8217;s a huge labor of love run by my pal Marky Starks, but because I also had a small hand in getting it together. (A year and a half or so back, Marky said, &#8220;I&#8217;d like to put on house concerts.&#8221; I said, &#8220;I&#8217;d like to start PLAYING house concerts&#8221;. <a href=\"http:\/\/michaelgaither.com\/b2\/blogs\/index.php?blog=2&amp;title=songs_and_stories_podcast_4_notes_high_a&amp;more=1&amp;c=1&amp;tb=1&amp;pb=1\" target=\"_blank\">We played her first show<\/a>, and now she&#8217;s doing these things every month. Someone (okay, me) had the brilliant idea of an outdoor summer concert, completely forgetting that summer in Royal Oaks means &#8220;fog&#8221;. Still, it sounded pretty good: Here&#8217;s a little band bantering from the show, along with live versions of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelgaither.com\/music\/misc_audio\/notstubborn.mp3\" target=\"_blank\">Not Stubborn Not My Mule<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelgaither.com\/music\/misc_audio\/tupelo.mp3\" target=\"_blank\">Tupelo Honey<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Next at the canyon will be local songwriter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marymccaslin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mary McCaslin<\/a> on Saturday, September. 13th. <a href=\"mailto:canyonguitars@hotmail.com\" target=\"_blank\">Contact Marky<\/a> for reservation info.
