He&#8217;s  toured with The Royal Lichtenstein Circus and has hosted killer whale shows. He&#8217;s been a member of The Frontmen and <a href=\"http:\/\/foremen.royzimmerman.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Foremen<\/a>. Steve is also a proud survivor of the Great Standup Comedy Scare of the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>Mpst recently, he was part of The Waybacks, a bay-area based band that mashed together an eclectic mix of acoustic rock, folk, swing (you name it, they play it). They&#8217;ve toured festivals around the world and have shared stages with the likes of Taj Mahal, Los Lobos, and Richard Thompson. He&#8217;s now working on a solo record.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/michaelgaither.com\/b2\/blogs\/media\/coyle.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>In this interview, Steve and I discuss how &#8220;the kids took over Myspace&#8221;, go on a long tangent about bay area comedy (well, it was interesting to us, anyway), chat about the musical diversity at festivals like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.strawberrymusic.com\" target=\"_blank\">Strawberry<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hardlystrictlybluegrass.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hardly Strictly Bluegrass<\/a>, and finally make our way around to discussing The Waybacks and Steve&#8217;s own musical influences.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some links to go with the show.
