In part one, Mary talks about her folk and western influences, her fondness for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marymccaslin.com\/tunings.htm\" target=\"_blank\">alternate guitar tunings<\/a>, how she ended up as a columnist for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marymccaslin.com\/roundup.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Santa Cruz Sentinel<\/a>, and why she plays &#8220;Pinball Wizard&#8221; on a banjo. In part two, she plays and tells the stories behind her songs &#8220;Old Friends&#8221; and &#8220;Acres of Houses&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Locally, Mary will be performing at benefits for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kkup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">KKUP<\/a> DJ and musician <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marymccaslin.com\/lisa.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Lisa Atkinson on September 5th and 10th<\/a>.
