Leave it to my friend “Maddog” to come up something like this. Sheet music with absolutely demented chord formations and instructions like “whole arm on black keys”, “release the penguins”, and “insert peanuts” buried within the staff lines. It’s definitely one of those pieces that reveal more as you look it over again and again. Kind of like a Bev Doolittle<\/a> painting, only with a disturbing musical bent. <\/p>\n

Turns out this work has been making the rounds among music folk for awhile. I figured it would be worthwhile to post it here for posterity’s sake. Plus, I like the out of the notion of “faerie’s aire and death march” being a searchable phrase here on the web site. (Did I mention that there’s now a search window available on my web site?)<\/p>\n

The more I look at this, the more I think it’s perfectly suited to be a banjo piece. How hard could it be, right?<\/p>\n
