Sure, you can always go online and pick up “Spotted Mule and Other Tales” from Amazon.com or CD Baby (and if you do, I really appreciate that), but you can now also pick up a copy from one of these local merchants:

Jansen’s Music (Watsonville)

The finest guitar store in Watsonville. (Okay, so it’s the only guitar store in Watsonville.) Jansen’s has existed in one incarnation or another ever since I was old enough even *think* about playing guitar. These days, it’s still a fine spot to shoot the breeze with owner Jody Fonseca, browse at guitars, or pick up a CD from a local songwriter (hint, hint.)

General Feed and Seed (Santa Cruz)

General Feed and Seed is another local landmark. Once the site of many live broadcasts for KPIG Radio, it continues to be a great place for pet supplies and tack (basically, anything from birds and rabbits up to horses and mules…and mule CDs).

Pony Espresso Market (Corralitos) – sorry, no pic on this one
Click for directions

This is a great little coffee shop on the drive between Freedom and Aptos. Features live music on Saturday afternoons. Note: My “free mule pin” offer still applies, even if you buy locally. 😉
