My friend Bev Barnett twittered about this, and I responded in kind. But this one is just too darned easy NOT to elaborate on. As either a sign of the economic times, or due to the fact it’s Halloween, you can now purchase Robert Johnson’s soul directly from the devil himself on Ebay.
(Note: The “devil” actually goes under the seller name “princeofdarkness355312”. I assume there were 355,311 other demons in line for that moniker.)
If you really want to nail that solo in “Crossroads”, now’s your chance. And since the current bid as of this writing (yes, there are actually seven bids) is only $15.51, it’s much cheaper than learning the song from a tutorial DVD. What I find most interesting is the particulars:
- Johnson’s soul comes with a “certificate of authentication”.
- The devil includes free shipping (but he uses UPS).
