This was a fun one, but it took awhile to wrangle it into a proper live video. “She’s My Superpower”, the opening track off my “Starlite…” record, is an upbeat love song, and it’s propelled along by Steve Kritzer’s mandolin. A live representation really needed Steve, and capable video, to capture it.

Steve and I, along with Jeff Baker on percussion, played a local house concert last month. Our pal and videographer Richard Newman – who does amazing work – was on hand. He brought three cameras with him, including a GoPro Hero4. I could not be happier.

It fun having three cameras – and Richard’s editing – to work with. And it was nice to finally see what a GoPro can do, both with video AND audio. (I’m sworn to secrecy, so I can’t tell you that most of the sound in this clip came directly from the GoPro itself, which is about the side of a credit card. I love it when technology works in your favor.)

We have lots of material from that night in the can. Or in the chip. Or spinning on our respective hard drives. (What IS the proper term these days? I’m still getting used to saying “video” instead of “film” as a verb.)

Anyway. It was a great evening with a very lively crowd. More to come. Stay tuned.
